Delete your account

Deleting your account from inside the app is coming soon. Until then, we handle deletion requests by email.

1. Email paisly.support@gmail.com from the address you use to sign in, with the subject "Delete my Paisly account".
2. We may reply to confirm the request really came from you.
3. We delete your account and data within 30 days and email you when it is done.

Email a deletion request

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• your profile: name, email address, phone number and profile photo;
• every transaction, account, budget, category, debt and investment you have recorded;
• names and email addresses you added for debt reminders;
• your notifications and settings; and
• the link between your account and crash or analytics records.

Data stored on your phone is removed when you uninstall Paisly or clear its storage in your phone's settings.

• Backups. Encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days of deletion.
• Legal records. Anything we are required by law to keep, for only as long as required.
• Anonymous statistics. Usage counts that no longer identify you.

You do not have to delete everything:

• delete individual transactions, accounts, debts or investments in the app;
• remove your profile photo or phone number from your profile; or
• email paisly.support@gmail.com saying which data you want removed, and we will do it within 30 days.

Deletion cannot be undone. If you want to keep a record, export your transactions as a CSV file from Settings first. See the privacy policy for how we handle data while your account is open.
